COSTS
DMV charges $2 per year. There is a minimum of $10 for 5 years and maximum of $16 for 8 years.
RESPONSIBILITY
Providing your child with a State issued identification card teaches them how to be responsible at an early age.
EMERGENCIES
If your child becomes missing, the DMV has their photo in their database. It is readily available to assist with searches and to provide to the police.
WHAT'S ON IT
Full photo of child's face, full name, address, DMV customer number, date of birth, height, sex, date issued, expiration date. There is also an option for them to be an organ donor information. Not licensed to a operate vehicle.
TRAVELING
It helps them prepare for traveling. DMV charges an additional $10 for a Real ID card. The Real ID makes traveling easier. Some little league organizations require youth to obtain a state issued ID.
